24 years ago, a promise was made—to show up for the forgotten, the frightened, and the fur-covered souls wandering West Columbia’s streets. What started as a small TNR effort has grown into a lifelong sanctuary and safe haven for some of the most vulnerable cats in our community: the elderly, the ill, the ones others left behind.

Today, we celebrate 24 years of trapping, neutering, returning, adopting, and loving community cats…

• 24 years of emergency rescues and round-the-clock care

• 24 years of love, loss, hope, and healing

• 24 years of showing up, no matter what.

 

​🐾 From the kittens saved in storm drains to the senior cats snoozing peacefully at our sanctuary, every life touched has been because of YOU—our loyal supporters, volunteers, and fellow animal lovers.

​

But the truth is: caring for elderly and sick cats isn’t easy—and it’s never cheap. Emergency vet bills are rising, supplies are scarce, and the cost of running our nonprofit has never been higher. Some of our recent vet bills are pictured for review.  Each cat is elderly or was injured and needed emergency care, including hospital stays. 

 

💛 In honor of our 24th anniversary, and reflective of the 24/7 dedication we have to our mission, we’re asking for your help!

 

We’ve launched a special "24/7" Emergency Fundraiser" for the month of August—a campaign to raise $7,000 to help us cover emergency vet visits, specialized care, medications, and the daily needs of our sanctuary cats.
